Members of Galloway-Martens American Legion Post 343
and the auxillary will host a food stand at the Stover Fair.
The American Legion has had a stand at the fair for many
years where they serve a variety of food items as well as
water and soft drinks. Proceeds help fund the organization
which provides school scholarships, helps send young men
and women to Boys State and Girls State, supports groups
such as the Boy Scouts and many community activities.
Post members are responsible for Stover Legion Memorial
Park itself, as they purchased the land decades ago and sold
it to the City of Stover, who built the park.
The stand will be open from 5-9 p.m. Thursday and Friday
and from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. Saturday.
