Plan Now! June 18-20th 2020 |
Latest news |
Be sure to join us for the annual Stover Fair fundraiser breakfast on Saturday, February 15th, from 7-10 AM at the Stover Community Center in the lower level. It’s just seven dollars a person but kids five and under get to eat free. We are currently working on a new website that is mobile-friendly. Because of this, the current site may not be updated often but be assured that we will be ready to go by fair time. Meanwhile, if you have a question, please send us an email at: info@stoverfair.org The folks at LakeTV dropped by the 2019 fair. You can see their video report HERE. Great news! The Stover Fair has been chosen as "Best Community Event" for 2019 by Missouri Magazine. This is a tribute to the hard work and dedication by the members of the fair board and we thank those responsible for us receiving this award. New this year is a 3D archery tournament to be run by Harry of the "Huntin and Fishin with Harry" radio show on KDRO. There will be classes for youth, women, bow hunter and open. Parking for the fair this year will be in the parking lot on the north side of the school once again. Go north on Oak street and follow the signs. Thanks to the generosity of Sydenstricker Tractor and the Versailles Chamber of Commerce, trams will shuttle fair patrons from the parking lot to the fairgrounds and back again. Only the fair workers and stage entertainment are allowed to park in the grass. Handicap parking at the fair is available at the community center. Three spaces are marked on the east side of the building and the entire lower lot on the west side of the building is reserved for handicap parking. To enter, go north on Oak street and follow the signs. Someone recently inquired about handicap access to the fair. While the fairground is not flat, the sloping of it is gentle enough that wheelchairs have been able to navigate it satisfactorily in the past. The gravel in the new carnival area may be a challenge until it gets packed down though. There will be at least one Wheelchair accessible restroom on the fairgrounds. The fair board has ambitious plans for the future. Our goal is to provide a fair experience that is not only fun to attend but also helps boost the image of Stover and everyone who lives here. If you would like to be part of planning and implementing the fun that is the Stover Fair, we are always looking for good people to join us on the fair board. Drop us an email at: info@stoverfair.org Is there an event or a particular band or whatever that you would enjoy seeing at next years fair? We want to know what would get you excited about next years fair. More info about that is here. Just confirmed! There will be wireless internet access again this year at the fairground, compliments of Co-Mo Connect. |

Our theme for the 2020 Stover Fair is “Small Town Throwdown” The Fair is presented as a celebration, giving family and friends an opportunity to be together and enjoy themselves. The Stover Fair Board is excited to present three days of entertainment, games and displays for the entire family at the Stover Legion Memorial Park. As always, entertainment on the stage and all fair board sponsored events are free. This event would not be possible without the generous donations of businesses, organizations and individuals. Please extend your appreciation for their support. Who are they? Most of them are listed here. |
